If you’re looking for somewhere unusual to drive with car hire Malaga this summer, check out the village of Juzcar, not far from Ronda in Malaga which has been painted bright blue to celebrate the forthcoming release of the new Smurf movie.
Juzcar is said to be the world’s first ‘Smurf village’ and was selected by Sony for the film’s premiere. In order to create the signature blue look, it took 12 painters over 4,000 litres of bright blue paint to coat the traditional white-washed houses.
Smurf Village is situated 113 kilometres from Malaga and will remain blue until September. Sony has promised to re-paint the village white after September, so time is ticking if you’re determined to get a photo of yourself in Smurfsville!
