Bmibaby transferred its four domestic routes (one from each of its bases) from Belfast to Belfast on 1 January this year and then went to London Stansted flights in late March. Therefore, in terms of weekly departures, Belfast City is already over Cardiff and Manchester and Birmingham will soon pass for second place.
The leader of the continent European destinations are Amsterdam this summer, and four well-established 'Summer Sun' destinations (Palma, Malaga, Alicante and Faro), only Palma is served from four UK bases present.In total bmibaby operates to and from 36 destinations this summer, eight of which are only two flights a week (Bordeaux, Dubrovnik, Geneva, Lisbon, Malta, Montpellier, Tarbes / Lourdes and Verona) and two (Alghero Almeria) receiving one. A TURKEY has been found inside the suitcase of a man travelling back to Malaga.
The 10lb frozen bird was quickly confiscated by staff after the man’s hand luggage went through security checks at Cardiff airport.
The passenger feared he would not be able to enjoy a traditional Christmas meal in Spain so decided to smuggle one back from the UK.
