As well as offering sea and sand, the city is “completely cultural”, according to the Malaga City Tourist Board and Convention Bureau.
The agency highlights that holidaymakers visiting monuments in the old town have no need for automobile hire as traveling from one hotspot to another takes just ten minutes’ walk.
Antonio Montejo Romero, spokesman for the tourist body, explained that Malaga also boasts 23 museums.
